16 days of activation of gender-based violence

The Durres Region is ranked first in the Republican rank, as the region with the highest rate of violated women. According to INSTAT data for every 10,000 women in Durres there are 32 raped women, 11 women more than the national average.

Association of Women with Social Problems today Association Women Peace Security, which in 2002 provides support to victims of domestic violence through the provision of free legal services, psycho-emotional counseling, psycho-social expertise in court, various activities for the purpose of information and community awareness. From 2010 until the first period of 2018, approximately 2267 cases have been assisted and managed by the associations.

In the 16 Days of the World Campaign "Orange the World", the Association Woman Peace Security conducted several activities aimed at raising awareness and informing the community of gender-based violence. The campaign started with the lobbying meeting with women of the municipal council in order to advocate for the economic and social empowerment of women victims of domestic violence.

The campaign continued with high school meetings where students were informed about the serious consequences of violence in society.
