Në vijim të takimeve ndërgjegjësuese me komunitetin, Shoqata "Gender, Paqe e Siguri" zhvilloi ditën e sotme takimin e rradhës në ambientet e Qendra Komunitare per Femije me Aftesi te Kufizuara, Bashkia Durres, në lagjen nr. 17, Durrës.Në këtë takim morën pjesë anëtarë të këtij komuniteti, kryesisht gra, si dhe inspektori i zonës. Pjesëmarrësit u informuan mbi rëndësinë e raportimit dhe denoncimit të dhunës si dhe u njohën me shërbimet dhe mbështetjen që ofrojnë institucionet shtetërore si Policia, Gjykata, Prokuroria, Bashkia si dhe organizatat e shoqërisë civile në mbrojtje të viktimave të të gjitha formave të dhunës.Gjatë diskutimit, nga përfaqësuesi i Policisë, u nxorr në pah fakti se qyteti i Durrësit është një nga qytetet me numrin më të lartë të Urdhrave të Mbrojtjes të lëshuar nga Gjykata e Shkallës së Parë të Juridiksionit të Përgjithshëm Durrës.Ky është një tregues i rëndësishëm i ndërgjegjësimit të grave për të raportuar dhunën, por edhe një këmbanë alarmi mbi shifrat e larta të përjetimit të dhunës në familje dhe asaj me bazë gjinore.Në fund të takimit, pjesëmarrësit u shprehën se të gjithë së bashku ne duhet të angazhohemi për të reduktuar këtë fenomen.
Ky aktivitet u realizua në kuadër të projektit “Adresimi i dhunës në familje dhe dhunës me bazë gjinore në Bashkinë Durrës dhe Njësinë Administrative Ishëm”.
The Association "Gender, Peace and Security" organised today the next awareness meeting in the premises of the Community Center for Children with Disabilities in neighbourhood no. 17, Durrës Municipality. This meeting was attended by members of this community, mainly women, as well as the Inspector of the area. The participants were informed about the importance of reporting violence and were introduced to the services and support provided by state institutions such as the Police, the Court, the Prosecutor's Office, the Municipality as well as civil society organizations in the protection of victims of all forms of violence. During the discussion, the representative of the Police highlighted the fact that Durrës City is one of the cities with the highest number of Protection Orders issued by the Court. This is an important indicator of awareness of women to report violence, but also an alarm bell on the high numbers of experiencing domestic and gender-based violence. At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed we all must commit to reduce this phenomenon.
This activity was organised in the frame of the project "Addressing domestic violence and gender-based violence in Durrës Municipality and Ishëm Administrative Unit".
