On 10 June, the "Jona Association", part of the Women, Peace and Security Coalition, conducted the awareness raising and lobbying campaign "Youth, Peace and Security" at the University of Saranda with the motto "A Less Weapon, a Lifetime of Life"

. The activity was carried out following the awareness raising for the implementation of the project "Resolution 1325, Women's Rights, From Concept to Albanian Reality", funded by UN Women and the Gender Equality Fund.

It was emphasized the importance of the implementation of Resolution 1325 and the awareness raising campaign being held with students at all University of Albania. This campaign started at "Aleksandër Moisiu" University in Durres and continued at all University of the country. The lobbying activity was organized in the premises of the University of Saranda, under the direction of Mrs. Ilda Boçi, Gjergji Imeraj and Musa Hoxha.

Participating young people (39 girls and 24 men) were sensitized about the risk of weapons, and the importance of implementing Resolution 1325. In September 2018, Albania drafted the Action Plan for Resolution 1325 of the Security Council of the Nations United Nations and the adoption of this Plan paved the way for institutional actions to implement the agenda "Woman, Safety, Peace". Civil society plays a major role in implementing this plan, where developing responsive and lobbying campaigns for a new organization of voluntary armed delivery of live weapons remains an important and indispensable aspect.
