For procurement of services - Engaging Experts for designing a capacity building education program for wild herbs, berries and mushroom pickers

1. Association for women with social problems within the project "Eco Tourism 4 all" supported by RCC and EU there has need to engage experts for  designing a capacity building education program for wild herbs, berries and mushroom pickers.
2. Implementation phases (preliminary timeline)

The services are required to be delivered within during December month of the conclusion of the Contract.Association for women with social problemsreserves the right to change the time frame for the delivery of the ordered services by the supplier depending on the previously implemented activities under this project.

1. The selection of the suppliers will be done through qualitative evaluation evaluation of the financial offer.
2.  Terms and method of payment

The payment will be made after the implementation of the planned activities of the experts and after the adoption of the final report by the project team.

ENGAGEMENT OF EXPERTS FOR DESIGNING A CAPACITY BUILDING EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR WILD HERBS, BRRIES AND MUSHROOM PICKERS INTRODUCTION

The project „Eco tourism 4 all“is realized by Association of Women with Social Problems in partnership with Association for Local and Rural Development and supported by Regional Cooperation Council, through European Union.

The overall objective of the project is to boost local economies through tourism valorization of the historical, cultural and natural heritage while respecting all the values of the territory.

Project results:

R1: Valorization of high-quality products of the target territories;

R2: Tourism valorization of target territories’ values through development of full adventure trails.

R3: Foster community based eco-tourism, where National park services are improved and valued by the community

Target group:Local producers (agricultural, agro-products) in Fir of Drenova (Albania) and Mavrovo and Rostuse (North Macedonia); associations for agro/eco-tourism development; local experts and bodies related to environmental heritage, agriculture and sustainable tourism; SMEs; tour operators and tourism agencies.

1. Framework of the task
2. Purpose of the task:

The expert will carry out the activity A 1.3 (Design and deliver educational and capacity building program for wild herb, berries and mushroom collectors).

For realization of this activity firstly will be developed training module for wild herbs, forest fruits and mushroom collectors from the region of Fir of Drenova. Afterwards, two one day trainings will be organized on collection and packaging of wild herbs, forest fruits and mushrooms.

The training is planned to include: techniques for sustainable harvesting of wild herbs, forest fruits and mushrooms; techniques of their processing and packaging according to EU standards; necessary equipment; production of essential oils, recipes on use of wild herbs and forest fruits. The participants (20) in this training: “Training for wild herbs and mushroom collection and packaging” will be certified as wild herbs, forest fruits and mushrooms collectors. The certificate will be issued by the project and with it the collectors will be able to apply for collection license issued by the National Park authorities. All participants in the training (20) will acquire collection licenses.

Association will engage one expert for this activity.

2.2 Activities to accomplish the task:

- 20 formats of preliminary evaluation and 20 formats of final evaluation;

- Training report / conclusions;

2.3 Specific activities

Description of methodology and activities performed by the expert

- Analysis of the current situation of medicinal herbs and wild fruits of Drenova Fir;

- two one day trainings;

- Design of 2 training modules specified for the target group defined in the project;

- Use of the database of data in the module developed by the expert;

- New information on forms of collection / preservation / transport / techniques / technology for the collection and storage of medicinal plants and wild fruits;

- Conclusions from the exercises with the training participants;

- Develops the format of the preliminary and final evaluation and Drafts the training report / conclusions;

3. TIME FRAME

3.1 Date of commencement and period of implementation of specific activities

The planned period for the engagement of the experts is December month, starting from 03/12/2019 until28/12/2019.

3.2 Price

The total planned financial resources according to the financial plan for the engagement of experts is amount (1560)  EUR in LEK counter-value.

The costs are borne by the project „Eco Tourism 4 all“.

3.3 Payment

The payment will be made after realization of the planned activities by the experts and after report has been submitted and approved.
